BIG BOOK NEWS!

Interrupting my regularly scheduled blogging with BIG NEWS!

I am thrilled to announce that my debut picture book, “A Firefly’s Journey”, is now available worldwide for presale, with the official publish date of 8/11/21!!

Available on Amazon and other major retailers! Link: https://amzn.to/2Um9vQb

Presale is a super important time for authors to help establish demand, ensure speedy shipping, and boost search queries. If you’d like to purchase the book now (thank you!) it will be shipped out to you on the release date of 8/11/21.

But why would you buy something without knowing more about it?

Below is the official description:

What’s more magical than a firefly?

Thousands of fireflies!

This story follows a worried but determined Firefly as she ventures into the forest to find others just like her.

A heartwarming tale of gratitude for the different creatures we meet on our journey.

Beautifully illustrated to showcase the wonders of nature, and a “Did You Know?” facts page for educational opportunities.

This is truly a dream come true. I’m so proud of this book and the effort to get here. Alana McCarthy, the illustrator, brought this story to life with her stunning artwork. It’s so beautiful in person (see below!) and I hope it inspires magical and snuggly moments with any kids in your life.

Speaking of magical moments, when I took some glamour shots of the book, fireflies happened to be out and about in our yard. One in particular gave me a present….she lit up right above the book!! (See top right):

That’s some lucky timing! I couldn’t get that again if I tried.

At some point I will share more about the journey to create this book, and I will be back soon with more music reviews.

Life is a bit hectic right now with the book release, and a really fun home renovation (are they ever fun?). We are remodeling our master bathroom after the plumbing in it completely died last year at the height of the pandemic. Shortly after, the whole house plumbing also died, sewage backed up into the house and forced us to replace our entire sewer line. It’s been quite a year! Ups and downs, pandemic stress, broken pipes, literal and figurative sh*t, all while managing a baby and a small child. BUT…we are reminded how much we can handle, we remain eternally grateful, and we know there is always light at the end of the tunnel. In this case….the light of a determined little Firefly. 🙂

Thanks for reading!!
